Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Island Rubbish & Recycling ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use islandrubbishnantucket.com, contact us, or receive our services on Nantucket.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us — your name, phone number, email address, service address, and anything you include in a quote request, service request, or text message sign-up.
  • Service information — account, pickup, and billing details needed to provide service.
  • Technical information — basic data such as IP address and browser type, used to keep the site secure and to stop spam form submissions.

How we use it

  • To respond to requests and provide, schedule, and bill for service.
  • To send service-related messages you asked for, including text messages if you opted in.
  • To keep our website and records secure and to meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Text messaging and your mobile number

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or text message opt-in consent with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

We use your mobile number only to send the text messages you agreed to receive and to reply to messages you send us. We keep a record of when and how you opted in. Our messaging provider processes messages on our behalf only to deliver them. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. See our text messaging terms.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers who help us run our business — for example our phone, messaging, website hosting, and billing providers — and only as needed for them to do that work, or when required by law. Mobile numbers and SMS consent are never shared for marketing, as described above.

Security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information and keep it only as long as needed for service, billing, and legal requirements.

Your choices

You can ask us to update or correct your information, or stop texts at any time by replying STOP. Contact us at 863-532-0740, or write to Island Rubbish & Recycling, Nantucket, MA.
