Using this website

Information on this site describes our services in general terms. Quotes, schedules, and prices are confirmed by our office and may change with Town of Nantucket rules and fees. Submitting a form is a request, not a confirmed order.

Text message terms (Island Rubbish Service Alerts)

Program. Island Rubbish & Recycling sends text messages about pickup reminders, schedule and holiday changes, service alerts, dumpster and debris pickup updates, account and billing notices, and replies to messages you send us. We do not send marketing texts through this program.
How you opt in. By giving consent on our text alert sign-up page, verbally to our office, or by texting us first. Consent is not a condition of service.
Frequency. Message frequency varies with your service and the season.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for text messages.
Opt out. Reply STOP at any time. You'll receive one confirmation message and no further texts unless you opt in again.
Help. Reply HELP, or contact us at 863-532-0740.
Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Eligibility. You must be the account holder or authorized user of the mobile number you enroll.
Privacy. See our Privacy Policy. We never sell or share mobile numbers or opt-in consent with third parties for marketing.
